November 20, 2016 was a great day! We celebrated Aiden’s 2nd birthday first by making him pancakes (I gave him a chocolate syrup treat), watched him open his presents (new jacket and some matching card games) and then meeting up with friends for brunch. The brunch was located in the Dowse Art Museum at a café where we had some eggs, muesli, and coffee. Aiden played with our friends’ son and daughter while we ate. Stepping out of the café afterwards, we saw that it was being transformed into a festival complete with a bouncy castle, face painting, merry go around, and wildlife zoo. This was totally unplanned but make the perfect setting for Aiden and a spontaneous birthday party. Though he didn’t like the merry go around so much, he did have fun petting the animals, coloring, and face painting. I turned him into the JOKER 🙂 We stayed at this festival for around an hour and then headed home. After his nap, we went out again up to Maunganaki to take in some fantastic views of Wellington. Turned out to be a great birthday day for Aiden and captured the occasion with some amazing pictures. Here’s hoping his third birthday is just as good!
