We arrived in Taupo in the middle of a bicycle race weekend. Luckily, I booked ahead of time or we’d be sleeping in our car. Our motel was situated right in front of the lake so the first night we took a walk around our area taking in the beautiful view. The second day we took a boat cruise to Haku Falls and got some nice shots of the waterfall. Aiden seemed to enjoy it. Afterwards, we had some thai food downtown and after Aiden’s nap, we went to the after-party festival at the park and had dinner at Lone Star. Taupo is a nice laid back city but not much to see. Only for adventurous types.
