The last stop on our North Island adventure!  The drive from Matamata to New Plymouth was filled with amazing scenery.  Going through mountains and seeing the landscape change before our eyes was something I will never forget.  We arrived at our Novotel Hotel which was extremely nice.  The first day we took a walk down the coastal walkway where the ocean can be seen and some of the famous rocks New Plymouth is known for.  The next day we drove to see Dawson Falls and on the way back God smiled upon us.  The signature symbol of New Plymouth is Mount Taranaki and the clouds lifted off the peak to capture the snow and most of the base of the mountain.  Took some beautiful pictures on the drive back to the city to capture the moments.  After Aiden’s nap, we went to the famous park and walked around for about an hour before heading back to the hotel.  Nice relaxing town with the mountain overlooking the entire region.  Well worth visiting again!
